Octopus Dream

Waaaa... I co-hosted with superstar Mary today! Super honoured can! (She blushed when I called her that :P)
It was a whole lot of fun! Spices up your evening, bringing a brand new meaning to 'Nightlife'.
But getting used to the control panel is a whole new story. I wish I have 8 hands (like an octopus) and 2 heads (alien octopus) to handle it. I'd pray really really hard in hopes that god would bless me with the extra limbs. Fingers crossed.

Superstar Mary!

And she definitely played the role tremendously well today for her new travel book launch at Suntec City.
Especially during book signing event, she was practically shining, like a star.
As new as I am, I was really excited for her too!
*200 rounds of applause!

In other news, my new shift has been confirmed, starting on 20.8.07. *Twirls in excitment.
But of course, it will not be announced til... well whenever it is announced.
And I am of course, overly excited over it. *Dances in trance.

And on top of that, I will be producing a brand new show, with mysterious guest stars. (No no, no telling until the time is right. ;D)

Reflection

A recent conversation with a close friend had brought up the issue of my sensitivity towards people around me, or rather, the lack of it.

A: You have the sensitivity of a blunt axe!

Thinking that it was one of those routined-meaningless-insult-hurling activity, I took no mercy in lashing back (all in good fun) at A without a second thought, completely unaware that it was an obvious hint that I had unknowingly crossed the boundaries with my insensitivity.

Which proved A's point absolute accuracy.

I apologise. I will work really hard at attaining a decent sensitivity awareness level.

Which could be hard for a person who's rarely in touch with her emotions.

But I will work at it.

Reality is so harsh...

My holiday is over!!!
Time flew past, and all i did was blink my eye! Once! (Ok, maybe for 3 weeks.. but still!!!)
I had cultivated a habit of weeknight mahjong sessions and weekly Wed late night gatherings... outside Zouk... (Mambo lah...)
As excited as I am starting the new job, I'm still lamenting over how quickly... quietly... my holiday slipped away...
I'm still in shock. :|

On the brighter side, I found someone at work with similar interests as I do! The mambos and the mahjongs... *WOOHOO!!
